Solution Architect

Be part of something big and help shape the future of product development, financial modeling, medical research, scientific discovery…anywhere that big data and big compute are applied to big problems.

Cycle Computing was founded on the premise that removing barriers to computing power will fundamentally change the way we understand our world.  Scientists, researchers, and analysts across many industries use our products and services to model, analyze, and engineer solutions to some of the world’s most complex problems at an unprecedented scale in the Cloud.  To have true impact, we focus on more than just removing the upper boundaries for a select few – we focus on bringing the necessary tools to anyone who needs them to solve a problem.

You want to push the envelope with cutting edge technology. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and feel comfortable in front of a crowd. A love of travel is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the team responsible for implementation and optimization of Cycle solutions for customers.
  • Help customers bring new users and applications into their environment
  • Analyze computational and data workflows to optimize cost and time-to-results

  • Experience with one or more batch schedulers (e.g. HTCondor, Open Grid Scheduler)
  • Knowledge of Python or Ruby
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Service offerings
  • Experience in Linux or Windows computational environments
  • Domain experience in life sciences, manufacturing, mathematics, or another discipline that makes use of high-performance or high-throughput computation
  • Infrastructure based HPC solutions: clusters and/or workstations
